Alberto De Jesus Coteron Oliva, 19, tried to pull his best The Fast and the Furious moves over the weekend. Now he sits in jail for killing three teenage passengers in his car Sunday night and fleeing after the accident.
Oliva was racing his Honda Civic Sunday night in Doral near the 9800 block of NW 12th Street. He lost control of the car and ended up hitting a concrete pole.
Passengers Veronica Santiago, 17, Isis Jiminez, 15, and Daniel Cardenas, 17, were killed. However, Oliva somehow escaped major injury and was able to flee the scene.
He later turned himself in and was charged with vehicular homicide and three counts of leaving a fatal accident.
Police believe a black Inifiniti might have also been involved in the race.
Anyone with more information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
