South Beach’s annual Urban Beach Weekend ended on a bloody note early this morning when two different police-involved shootings broke out near Collins and Washington Avenues, shattering the night with multiple rounds and leaving one dead and at least six — including three police officers — in the hospital.

Details on the shootings are still murky, but a Miami Beach detective tells the Miami Herald that the first shooting happened around 4 a.m. near 15th Street and Collins Ave.; the second erupted about an hour later near 13th Street and Washington Ave.
The paper reports that two Miami Beach officers and one cop from Hialeah were wounded in the shootouts. Another person was killed and five others were wounded.
The YouTube video below shows a black car squealing to a stop after firing shots at passersby. Moments later, police surround the car and after a tense standoff blast a number of rounds into the vehicle.
