You will need to sell a few more organs if you were hoping to buy a premium box for you and your closest friends to watch the Hurricanes take on the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship Game at Hard Rock Stadium on Monday, January 19.
While nearly all of the playoff premium suites and boxes are sold out, a midfield suite is still available for a whopping $1.1 million. The suite, located on the Miami sideline, includes 18 tickets, two parking passes, and a food and alcoholic beverage package. If you shell out the $1 million, you will also have access to the in-stadium club, concierge service, and the playoff premium kickoff party.
This box appears to be pricier than what the website says for the typical premium box prices; a sideline suite with the same offers is available for $287,375. This could be because it’s a home game for the Hurricanes (a statistically unlikely alignment), who haven’t appeared in a national championship game in 24 years, and Indiana, which is playing in its first national title in program history, has the largest living alumni community.
“College Football Playoff National Championship Playoff Premium Suite Packages range from $115,000 to $500,000,” reads the website for Playoff Premium, the official premium hospitality program for the CFP national championship. “Box packages range from $6,000 to $60,000, and ticket packages range from $2,500 to $15,000, depending on package type, location inside Hard Rock Stadium, and group size.”
The ticket prices had dropped after Miami beat Ole Miss on Thursday in the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday. However, following Indiana’s blowout win over the Oregon Ducks on Friday night in the Peach Bowl, ticket prices skyrocketed, and are now going for Super Bowl-level prices.
On Monday, the get-in price on SeatGeek is $3,414 in one of the last rows in the nosebleeds. Ticketmaster shows the cheapest ticket is on sale for $3,479. It is in Section 351, Row 16. According to StubHub, the least expensive ticket, in Section 343, Row 27, is available for $3,431.
Online ticket marketplace TickPick said this year’s national championship is shaping up to be the most expensive on record. The get-in price for last year’s national championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State held the previous record at $1,830.
“Miami playing at home + Indiana’s fan base traveling so well are driving the market,” TickPick wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Buy when you’re comfortable — but watching the next few days closely could make a meaningful difference.”
