Suspected Taxi Cab Robber Caught. You're Welcome, Miami Police

Miami Police have arrested a suspect in a recent rash of taxi cab robberies.

Christopher Albert Debanos, 21, was arrested yesterday on robbery, burglary, and gun charges in connection to as many as seven stick-ups this summer. Debanos has already confessed to at least one of the robberies, according to police affidavits.

New Times recently wrote about the anger and fear among Miami cabbies following the crime spree. Considering the article came out in print on Wednesday, just before Debanos was caught, we can only say: You're welcome, Miami PD.

Police warn, however, that another suspect is still at large and is thought to be armed and dangerous.
