Nineteen-year-old Rodgrick Girtman has been arrested in the murder of Corneshia Miller, also 19, after confessing to police.
Girtman shot Miller in front of their two children, a toddler and an infant. She was found with gunshot wound on Thursday afternoon in her home around Northwest 68th Street and 14th Avenue in Miami. She was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but later died.
Miller’s brother was also questioned. He was outside the home when he heard the gunshots. He found Girtman standing next to her. Witnesses say that Girtman had told them he was going to kill Miller and her family. The two had a history of domestic violence, and a revolver was found hidden in the room.
