Raknotur, the mighty documentary force behind Cocaine Cowboys and The U, is preparing to release their latest film this Fall called Square Grouper. But what exactly is a square grouper? It is not, as we first thought, what hipster fish call their less culturally relevant brethren. It’s a term from South Florida’s marijuana struggling hey days meaning stray bales of marijuana floating in the seas, but we should really let the doc’s subjects explain it.
Square Grouper is just one of Raktontur’s many upcoming docs. Also coming out soon is a sequel to the University of Miami football sage The U and their take on backyard brawling called Dawg Fight.
