This weekend felt like a little bit of a dud. Maybe it’s time to admit that Miami is finally entering its sleepy summer stage. So enjoy the next few weeks because after that the lovely Miami humidity will make us all take shelter in our air-conditioned homes. The curse of having built a city over a swamp. Legendary blues guitarist BB King performed at the Sinatra Theatre Saturday night with Joe Bonamassa as the opening act.
According to our Party Crasher, Lance Bass’ birthday party at the swanky new Gansevoort Hotel was mediocre at best. Plenty of quasi-celebs and SoBe scenesters, but after the free mojitos ran out, guest quickly said, “Bye, Bye, Bye.”

The spotlight was on the Biscayne corridor this weekend as the Cinco de MiMo Festival hoped the event would bring awareness to the newly created Historic MiMo District. Music, tours and complimentary food and drinks were just some of the things festival goers could enjoy.
