PBS’s Patchwork Nation project recently put together a county-by-county map comparing the concentration of residents who have registered as members of a Tea Party-affiliated group. Surprisingly, given Marco Rubio’s success, Florida had only three counties (Gilchrist, Flagler, and Sumter) where more than ten of 10,000 residents identify as members of the movement. Miami-Dade had only 1.69 per 10,000. That’s even lower than Broward County (2.66 per 10,000) and Palm Beach County (2.25 per 10,000).
