Miami already has the 2010 Super Bowl on lock down, but we just can’t get enough of hosting the damn thing. So of course we’re in the running to host the 2013 game along with Phoenix and New Orleans. The New Orleans Saints and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation are reportedly working hard to woo the league before they start voting on the matter on May 19th.
The officially bids are encased in a hand built wooden box carrying the slogan “A Perfect 10” (it would be NoLa’s 10th time hosting the game, and first since Hurricane Katrina). Inside will be art by local artists, a book outlining the bid, and an iPod with a brief video. Each NFL owner will receive one.
I’m not sure what Miami has in the works, but considering this might be the first time New Orleans could be prepared to host the game since Katrina I wouldn’t mind if we lost out. At least it’s not London. Besides, we should really concentrate on winning another Super Bowl, before hosting one.
