Miami's First Tweets: The Awkward Twitter Beginnings From LeBron to Rubio to The Rock

To celebrate its 8th birthday, Twitter has launched a site that lets users look up their first ever tweet, thus pinpointing the exact moment when you became less productive at work. Twitter has been clogged ever since with people reliving just how bad they were at tweeting when they first joined.

That goes for all of Miami's most infamous Twitter users. A deep dive into the past finds the awkward first posts from LeBron James to Marco Rubio to Billy Corben from the dark days when everyone still thought the verb was "twittering."

"As we mark our 8th birthday, we'd like to say thank you -- to you. Millions of prolific tweeters have made Twitter an exciting, fun and powerful place to connect with others," Twitter wrote to explain its new tool. "Today we're taking a look at some choice first Tweets -- first Tweets that sparked a conversation, used imagery to tell a story, or revealed unfiltered self expression."

High-minded sentiment considering we spend half our day tweeting out jokes about how bad the Dolphins will be this year. Miami's brightest shining lights didn't fare much better with their first tweets:
