South Florida’s latest claim to fame hasn’t even gone through puberty yet. But he has “healed” the crippled, studied university-level theology, and preached to a packed Broward church.
In case you missed the story, buried in yesterday’s New York Times: Meet 11-year-old ordained minister Terry Durham. The Miami-Dade elementary schooler performs “laying of hands” to channel the “spirit” of God Sundays at True Gospel Deliverance Ministry in Fort Lauderdale, a small nondenominational storefront church that his grandmother founded.
“[God] said, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh,” the precocious tyke told the Times. “But he didn’t say how old you had to be or anything like that.”
