A Miami postal truck exploded on the eastbound Julia Tuttle Causeway this morning, causing a massive traffic jam that stretched back to the city.
Responding officers declined to specify the cause of the explosion. “Was it a bomb?” one asked. “No, it was a fire.”
If that’s all, it sure was an awfully strong one.
“There’s a lot of paper in a postal truck,” Miami Beach Police spokesperson Bobby Hernandez tells New Times. “so that’s what causes it to so engulfed in flames.”
