Yet another protest against President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk is scheduled for this week.
Ahead of Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, March 4, at 9 p.m., people around the country are holding “March Fourth Against Monarchy” demonstrations as part of the 50501 (Fifty-Fifty-One) movement to protest the Trump administration and executive overreach.
Protesters say they will gather at the Torch of Friendship monument in front of Bayfront Park in downtown Miami at 3 p.m. on Tuesday to stand up for human rights and defend democracy. Other protests will take place in West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, Tampa, Orlando, Naples, Lakeland, Vero Beach, and Stuart.
Over the last month, demonstrators have organized protests against the Trump administration in all 50 states in state capitals and multiple cities. At the last protest on February 17 in Miami, around 80 protesters gathered at the Torch of Friendship, shouting, “Trump, Trump, go to hell. The U.S. is not for sale.” People held signs calling out Musk’s prominent role in the federal government and comparing Trump to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
“50501 is a peaceful movement,” the rally’s description states. “Violence of any kind will not be tolerated.”

When is the 50501 Protest in Miami?
The demonstration is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4.
Where is the Protest?
It will take place at the Torch of Friendship monument at the northwest corner of Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. The address is 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami 33132. (The flyer incorrectly lists the monument’s address as 401 Biscayne Blvd.)
