Miami Beach might be underwater in 100 years, but good things never last long. Livability.com has ranked Miami Beach fifth in America on its 2014 list of 100 best places to live.

To compile the list, Livability.com hired a market research firm to conduct a survey to ask residents what they value most about their community, what amenities they prefer, and what they’d look for in another city. Eight factors — economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education, and health care — were evaluated.
Miami Beach scored in the top ten for health care, infrastructure, and amenities.
