Miami’s roads are known for two things: insanely bad driving and fancy cars. It’s always a shame when the two combine, especially when a wreck involves somewhere in the neighborhood of $400,000 worth of automotive extravagance.
Friday night out front of the Epic Hotel in downtown a Maserati GranTurismo S (worth around $120K) somehow found itself wedged underneath a jeep and smashed into a vintage Porsche.
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back. It’s unknown exactly who was behind the wheel of the Maserati at the time of the crash, but Jalopnik suggests it may have been a valet. This is probably the worst case of luxury car wreckage we’ve seen in Miami since a drunk driver totaled a row of brand new Corvettes back in December. According to Local 10, the Maserati was coming out of a garage when the drive lost control and crashed into the Jeep and the vintage Porsche Cabriolet.
