Police are on the lookout for a possibly armed man who posed as a cop and then sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl who was on her way to school.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning between 6:45 and 7:15. The suspect approached the young victim near Northeast 166th Street and Eighth Avenue and told her he was an undercover cop. He also implied that he was carrying a handgun.

The suspect then forced the girl to follow him to a nearby wooded area where he sexually assaulted her. After the assault he admitted that he wasn't a police officer and then fled by foot.

Police have released the sketch above of the suspect. He's described as standing 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing around 155 pounds. Police believe he is between 23 and 25 years-old. He was last seen outfitted in a black T-shirt, shorts, a black knitted cap, and black and red Nike sneakers with white shoe laces.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
