Congratulations, Miami! Not a single one of you killed someone else during the whole month of October! … That the police know about yet, anyway.
It’s the first time Miami has had a murder-free month since May 1966. That is 42 friggin’ years, but it might have as much to do with medical advances that help save people who have been shot as much as it has to do with people just being a lot nicer. A couple of people barely survived gunshot wounds. Still, this is truly something to celebrate.
