Inter Miami CF fans may not be too excited to chat about the team's rocky start, but their kids have something to cheer about — Lionel Messi and the Herons just joined Snapchat, one of the last social media platforms they had yet to conquer.

Inter Miami CF, already the most-followed club in Major League Soccer, is adding to its digital arsenal with the launch of an official Snapchat profile. The rollout, announced Friday, marks another step in the team's continued effort to grow its brand among younger fans while simultaneously preparing for the global spotlight that will come with this June's FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

With nearly 30 million followers across social platforms — 17.2 million on Instagram, 11.3 million on TikTok, 1.2 million on X, and 432,000 on YouTube — Inter Miami has long been MLS's undisputed social engagement king. That title has coincided, uncoincidentally, with the arrival of Lionel Messi and his staggering built-in following, which includes 505 million on Instagram alone.

Adding a single player with half a billion IG followers tends to increase the team's following; funny how that works! And with rumors swirling about Messi continuing his play with the pink and black beyond this season, you can't blame the squad for trying to squeeze every ounce of exposure out of #10 while he's still in the fold.

Between Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and, of course, homegrown heartthrob Benjamin Cremaschi, Vice City's youngest soccer fans are set to see a side of the squad they rarely get to see in a place they visit more than most, according to data provided by the team.

The launch on Snapchat is aimed squarely at deepening the club's connection with a younger demographic. Snapchat reports that it reaches over 75 percent of people ages 13 to 34 in over 25 countries, with 170 million users engaging with sports content on the platform.
Messi and the club are among the first in the league to integrate Snapchat Cam technology into their home stadium experience at Chase Stadium. That means more sideline first-person point-of-view experiences in real time and, more importantly, more Messi to more people, specifically the next generation of pink-and-black fans who reside on Snapchat, more than any other demographic.

Fans can access behind-the-scenes training coverage, matchday highlights, and curated stories by following Inter Miami's new Snapchat account. The profile also features interactive tools like chat, geotags, and shared stories to create a more connected fan community.

According to the team, the integration of Snapchat Cam will allow fans in the stadium to use custom Inter Miami Lenses during matches, with real-time reactions appearing on the venue's LED scoreboard. The initial effects include a virtual Inter Miami banner between fans' raised arms and a "Vamos Miami" overlay that activates when users cheer.
The youth movement is no coincidence, as the Snapchat debut coincides with the opening ceremony of this year's inaugural Dreams Cup, a youth tournament hosted by the Inter Miami CF Academy. The three-day event features over 900 boys and girls teams from nine countries, ranging from the U8 to U19 levels, making it a fitting venue for the launch.

While Inter Miami's season has had its ups and downs — the club sat in seventh place in the Eastern Conference as of Monday — it remains the most-recognized team in American soccer. And in the coming days, the club will be one of just two MLS representatives, alongside the Seattle Sounders, to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, hosted in twelve venues across the United States.

So, if you want to see every possible angle of an Inter Miami match, get ready to learn Snapchat, buddy.
