After watching the press hubbub over Bo Obama unfold we wondered last week if any local Pols had any cute puppies of their own. A few quick Google searches didn’t turn up much, but we’ve had a few blanks filled in for us since then.
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s office sent over this pic of Schultz with her two dogs. On the left is Emily, a rescue mix, and on the right is Bailey, a chocolate lab. Collectively everyone: “awwwww.”
A commenter on the original post also claims that Rep. Ileana Ros Lehtinen has two dogs at home, in addition to her office dog Maya.
Ileana and Dexter have 2 dogs at home in Miami: Bard and Simba.
They adopted them from their kids when they joined the Marines and had
to constantly move about. I think they have had them for about 7 years.
Usually we write about politics in a fit of anger, but we could never be angry when there are pictures of adorable animals involved.
