Karlie Tomica, the self described Miami Beach "party princess" who hit and killed a man with her car and then drove off, had three time the legal limit of alcohol in her blood, according to just released toxicology reports.
Tomica, who is 20 years old, was driving home from her job as a bartender at Nikki Beach in the early hours of Monday, January 29, when she hit and killed Stefano Riccioletti, who was on the way to his job as an executive chef at the Shore Club. After the accident in front of the Shelborne, Tomica than took off, but a good Samaritan followed her to her Mid-beach condo building and called police.
Tomica was not originally charged with a DUI, but now because of the new toxicology reports she will be hit with the additional charge. According to CBS Miami she's expected to turn herself in on Friday. Tomica also faces charges of leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
The BAC findings also spell trouble for Nikki Beach. Riccioletti's widow has filed a lawsuit against the club for allowing Tomica to drink on the job even though she's underage.
