Charlie Crist is still married to an actual lady, and even though he failed to make Carole Rome a D.C. power wife she just sold her apartment on fancy Fisher Island so she can live with Crist in St. Petersburg full time. Rome sold the apartment for $3 million according to The Sun-Sentinel, though originally had it listed for $3.7 million.

The couple used to split time between the Fisher Island pad, Crist’s one bedroom in St. Pete and, of course, the governor’s mansion. Now they’ve just got a two-bedroom rental apartment in St. Petersburg.

In less polite company there’s always been sneers about the legitimacy and political timing of Rome and Crist’s whirlwind romance and sudden marriage, but seriously home girl is giving up a pad in Miami’s fanciest zip code for a rental in Tampa Bay even though Crist’s political career is pretty much dead. If that isn’t love, we don’t know what is.
