Escaped Bald Inmate John Garrido on the Loose in Miami: UPDATED

John Paul Garrido, a 26-year-old inmate, is on the loose in Miami after slipping out of police custody earlier today. Miami-Dade police officers are conducting a mass search for the man near the 1400 block of Northwest North River Drive -- and have enlisted the help of Photoshop in their effort to track him down. Update: Garrido has been caught

Garrido has been arrested at least three times this year, once in Miami-Dade and twice in Monroe County for charges ranging from domestic violence to drug dealing.

"He was being transported. He was able to get out of his flex-cuffs," Miami Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta told WSVN. "The window was cracked open. He reached and was able to open the door and leave the vehicle and flee."

Garrido is about 5'6, and at the time of his last arrest in Miami-Dade was 150 pounds. Police released his last mugshot, but noted that he had trimmed his beard and shaved his head since his last arrest.

Police then released a (somewhat hilariously) altered photo of what Garrido may look like now.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

Update: Garrido has been caught. Though, little information, including where Garrido was actually found have been released.
