With all the Memorial Day madness, there aren’t many new concert announcements — but this one is a doozy. The ladies of Destiny’s Child, the high priestesses of Top 40 R&B, are bringing their “Bills, Bills, Bills” to South Florida and plan to make you “Lose Your Breath” at the Office Depot Center at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17. (How’s that for corniness?) Tickets range from $43.75 to $63.75 and go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27.
If platinum pop ain’t your thing, how about a little dancehall? The inimitable king of slackness, Yellowman, is coming here for his semiannual Florida concert, landing at the Culture Room at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11. Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but they go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25.
