Chrono Trigger Coming to Nintendo DS

Yesterday, Square Enix launched a countdown site with a very familiar clock chime, not to mention the site name ctds (Chrono Trigger DS). Today, they announced that the famed game will be coming to the Nintendo DS.

Square has a bad habit of porting their old games to new consoles, but this is one I’m willing to forgive. I mean it’s Chrono Trigger, one of the greatest RPGs of all time in my not so humble opinion. Still, isn’t it rather evil for a company to capitalize on rabid fandom, rather than give us the new installment in the series that gamers have dreamed about for ages?
