After a bit of wrangling, CBS4 WFOR, has finally confirmed that they’ll be airing debates between the candidates in Miami’s tightest congressional races. Both debates will be broadcast on October 15th, the same day as the final Presidential debate.

The debate between incumbent Republican Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (25th district) and his challenger, Democrat Joe Garcia, will air at 7pm, and will be taped October 10th at 8:30 PM.

Airing immediately afterward at 7:30pm, incumbent Republican Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (21st district) will debate his Democratic challenger, former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez. That debate will tape October 13th at 2 p.m.

Both half hour debates will be moderated by CBS4’s Antonio Mora, and air with out commercial interruption.

Glad we’ve finally gotten that straightened out.
