In a move that will surely up the intelligence of local radio listeners, Bubba the Love Sponge’s morning radio show will be broadcast on 93 Rock starting early next year. Bubba’s shtick makes Howard Stern look like the Duke of Windsor, and he has been accused of sensationalizing an on-air pig-killing as well as forcing an Internet porn model to be penetrated by a strap-on in his studio. Delightful.
Bubba hosts a show on Stern’s Sirius satellite radio channel, but his deal is set to expire in January and no extension has been reached. However, along with Miami, he’ll be extending his separate terrestrial radio show into four new markets, assuring his special blend of airwave garbage reaches listeners’ ears for years to come.
