Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.

Let's blame too much coffee and a raging case of ADD.

This morning, Crossfade gave WVUM props for its MTV Woodie nomination and urged you all to vote for the Voice. We failed to notice, however, that another one of Miami's awesome college radio stations, FIU's Radiate FM, had also been named among the 50 best in the entire USA.

Thanks, though, to a Crossfade colleague and a couple of friendly comments from Rmore006, we stand corrected, we apologize, and we'd like to say: "FIU's Radiate FM deserves a Woodie too!"

Visit radiowoodie.ratemyprofessors.com and vote now.

The 25 Woodie nominees for best college radio station will be announced Tuesday, February 8, with the final 10 confirmed on Tuesday, February 15. And finally, the sixth annual mtvU Woodie Awards will air Wednesday, March 16, at midnight on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU from the Austin Music Hall in Austin, Texas, during the South by Southwest Music Festival.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
