It’s no secret I’m a fan of the PB County-based rockers the Pretty Faces. They play a blend of retro power pop not often heard in these parts (and thus, it’s no surprise they’ve shared the stage with my other new local faves Ex Norwegian). They’re hard-working, cheerful, and pretty to boot (that includes the boys). That’s why they keep getting asked to play any number of big events, from the recent SunFest to the upcoming Super Con (yeah, okay, they really don’t have anything to do with fandom, but whatever). Likewise, the band just made its second recent appearance on CBS 12 — for those of us in Broward and Miami-Dade, um, that’s the CBS affiliate we don’t get, that covers West Palm Beach and the boonies beyond.
The video above shows the band playing an unplugged version of their song “Right on the Money.” Gotta love the chipper anchorwoman who calls it “an acoustical take on their 1970s punk rock.” After the jump, check out their live version of “Elephant.” Both songs can be found on the band’s new debut album, Another Sound. You can buy it now on iTunes or CD Baby.
