Local music/culture webzine Revmiami has just introduced a fun new video series called Big City Breakdown. The aim, they announced in this post, is to take favorite local acts, set them loose in the urban wilds, and tape them performing a song in one take. It’s a concept that’s been done before to great effect elsewhere, and it’ll be interesting to see the environments the filmmakers and bands choose beyond the beach.

The first episode is above, and features Afrobeta playing a lo-fi version of “Nighttime” on the sand. Visit the original post here. The vlog/web series/whatever is meant to be biweekly, and it’ll be cool if the Revmiami folks can keep up the momentum.
