$7,500

Looking to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday, in a city of Cuban, Caribbean, and South American people? Take yourself out to Under One Beat, a party with a lineup as diverse as this city’s cultural makeup. The bands range from IDM stalwart Phoenecia to rapper Seven Star to jammers Pencilgrass to cool rock act Modernage. There are visual artists (Bhakti Baxter, Robert Chambers, Jay Hines), performance artists (Jenna Balfe, Koko Flux, TM Sisters), and dancers (Liz Malm, Marie Bandres). And of course DJs abound, from breaks expert Induce to dance-pop dandy Hottpants. There are 25 scheduled performers in all to keep you entertained throughout the night.
