The xx was supposed to play Baltimore tonight, the English indie pop outfit's last North American gig in support of sophomore release, Coexist, before a string of shows across Western Europe in November and December.
Instead, inclement weather forced the group to postpone its remaining three concerts.
"We'll have another announcement coming later in the week," the band promised on Facebook, "including information on these shows and a new run of US dates in early 2013."
The xx has already delivered. In addition to rescheduling at least one Hurricane Sandy-stricken show, the band also revealed a Miami gig on February 5.

The xx's sophomore effort, Coexist, was heralded as one of indie music's most anticipated alums. Released three years after self-titled predecessor this past September, Coexist debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, selling nearly 60,000 copies its first week. Unsurprisingly, the buzz also translated into critical success.
New Times' New York City sister publication Village Voice called it "gorgeous and ghostly" before comparing the emotionally rooted music to "Hemingway rather than Fitzgerald."
"I'm writing about my own stuff that I've gone through, and I was pretty terrified to put all of that out there," bassist and co-vocalist Oliver Sim said in a recent phone interview with the Voice. "But I think we did a good job of saying what we wanted to and not worrying about the fallout."
