Watch out, South Florida — Starboy has officially landed. The Weeknd, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter behind hits like “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Blinding Lights,” and “One of the Girls,” has reportedly purchased a stunning waterfront mansion in the exclusive Gables Estates community of Coral Gables.
The 18,963-square-foot estate, located at 41 Arvida Parkway, was last owned by oil recycling mogul Stephen Lempera, who purchased it in 2019 for $25.5 million. While the final purchase price has not been disclosed, the mansion was most recently listed at $54.9 million.
The property sits on a 1.2-acre point lot and features eight bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a pool, a hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, a private dock, and more. It went under contract in September, brokered by Eddie Martinez and Roland Ortiz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
This deal marks the Weeknd’s first major South Florida real estate purchase, adding to his growing portfolio. Back in 2021, he made headlines for buying a $70 million Bel Air mansion — the largest residential sale in Los Angeles that year.
The Weeknd is far from the only star drawn to Gables Estates, which was recently ranked as the most expensive neighborhood in the U.S., surpassing even Beverly Hills.
In late August, Anthony Lopez and his fiancée, Real Housewives of Miami star Dr. Nicole Martin, closed on a waterfront property at 33 Arvida Parkway for $34 million (down from its $47 million asking price). Around the same time, the couple sold their 19,380-square-foot Old Cutler Bay home for $40 million to none other than English pop star Robbie Williams.
The neighborhood is also home to Pharrell Williams, one of the Weeknd’s longtime collaborators, who bought his $30 million estate in Gables Estates back in 2020.
With names like the Weeknd, Pharrell, and Robbie Williams planting roots in Miami, it’s clear the city is becoming a magnet for music’s elite. The combination of luxury waterfront living and a rapidly expanding music scene has made South Florida a top destination for global superstars.
So don’t be too surprised if you run into your favorite celebrity grabbing a bite at Flanagan’s — Miami is quickly becoming their new playground.
