South Florida, but Miamians in particular, always whine that the area never gets it fair share of national acts coming into town. So when CrossFade received an e-mail announcing a free -- yes, free -- performance by New York indie rock band The Walkmen, we couldn't help to feel a bit excited.

What's the catch? Well the concert is part of Free Yr Radio campaign created by Toyota Yaris and Urban Outfitters to generate awareness and support for partner independent radio stations. The campaign is partnering up with WVUM to have The Walkmen perform at the Urban Outfitters in Miami Beach (653 Collins Avenue) on October 6.

If you want to attend you must visit www.freeyrradio.com and print out and present the e-ticket for the Miami Beach date. But here is the catch: just because you have an e-ticket doesn't mean you are getting in. Guest will only be admitted until the venue is full, so get there early.
