You might recognize frontwoman Coco’s voice from Drew Barrymore’s Whip It! or episodes of Entourage. But what’s most memorable about the Ettes is perhaps their legendary collaborations. Their first EP was produced by none other than bluesy Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, and their latest, Do You Want Power, holds garage legend Greg Cartwright (of Jay Reatard, Mary Weiss, and Oblivions fame) as its producer. They just finished touring with Kings of Leon and are now headed to Bardot.

The Ettes’ latest release combines ’60s psychedelic-infused rock with hints of ’70s punk and a dash of Southern charm thrown in for good measure. The Nashville natives mix in acoustic tracks and power ballads with a retro feel, establishing their songs as decent girl-power dance anthems. Expect harmonicas, tambourines, and heavy guitar riffs when songs such as “I Can’t Be True” and “So Say So” confirm their garage-rock status.
