See the cut for a list of all 16 U.S. dates added to Taylor Swift’s Speak Now World Tour.
Taylor Swift is adorable. Like a cherry-cheeked, golden-fleeced little doll. Or your sweet, innocent baby sister. And honestly, you’d think her audience of millions was nothing other than pretty teenage girls and the Joe Jonas clones who dutifully accompany them to the arena for a night of “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me,” and “Mine.”
However, there’s a sizeably creepy chunk of Swift’s followers that happens to consist of 35-year-old males.
Needless to say, it’s a little unsettling when you meet a balding dude with a blank stare named David who closes his eyes, mouths the words to “Our Song,” and sporadically says stuff like, “Taylor’s hot. I’ve loved her since she was 16. Any man would be lucky to own her.” (Yes … Own her.)
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Anyway, the moral: When you take your baby sister to Taylor Swift’s newly announced Miami show at the American Airlines Arena, keep a giant hawk-like eye on her. Because the real world (not to mention the freaking internet) is crawling with creeps.
You know, like David and Kanye West.
