Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
In the ’50s, you had to unlock the door with a key of imagination. But in 2011, it takes only $40 before midnight and a couple of red monkeys.
Of course, we’re talking about the Twilight Zone, that bizarro fifth dimension that’s seldom visited by sober man. You know, the one that’s overtaking the Terrace at Club Space on Halloween weekend. Expect cute raver chicks in incredibly skimpy costumes, jacked dudes fist-pumping in Scream masks, and a few swinger couples reveling in the ecstasy that is dance music. Anything can — and probably will — happen, such as the following:
Doo-doo-doo-doo, dubstep: The Twilight Zone‘s iconic theme music will get a dubstep remix at Space Twilight Zone. We’ll bet ten beans it happens.
“Big Bad Wolf” costume overkill: At least 12 people will be dressed as Duck Sauce’s “Big Bad Wolf,” all of whom will think they’re the most original people in Miami.
Zombies: You read it here first, ladies and gentlemen. Zombies will make their way to Space and take over the Twilight Zone. Don’t believe us? They’re already loose on the streets of Miami Beach. A quick cab ride over the causeway, and the downtown house crowd is totally screwed.
