Last month, we here at Crossfade highlighted Miami’s five best electronic music labels, including a small local imprint, So Sound Recordings, boasting some heavy duty sonic ammunition.
The brainchild of DJ-producer Fabian Giannattasio (AKA Jazzy Eyewear) and one of Miami’s foremost purveyors of quality house music since 2002, So Sound’s artist roster includes international heavyweights like Manuel Tur, Inland Knights, Kinky Movement, and Zoo Brazil. In short, this label means serious business.
But it’s also home to up-and-coming boogie specialists — like Les Loups, Toomy Disco and Freaky Behaviour — whose work is widely featured in So Sound’s July 2011 podcast mix. This one’s a sneak peek at the label’s next several releases and an hour’s worth of groovy ear candy introduced by the incomparable house diva Lisa Shaw.
