If you haven't checked out the newest lounge over at the Gansevoort South Hotel (which actually might lose a few cool points after the loss of its original owners), you probably fall into one of two categories: You either didn't know it was open or you weren't able to get pass the velvet ropes. Coco De Ville is actually part of STK, and like its Los Angeles counterpart, it too decided to have an exclusive lounge for the city's beautiful people to congregate in -- as if Miami need another one. But what sets this apart from the other lounges, is that while bottle service is encouraged, the majority of the space isn't taken up by couches and tables. Which is a good thing, considering the size of the venue is pretty small.

Our photographer Lex Hernandez stopped by the reboot of Tuesday night party Favela Chic at the lounge. Here is all the party mayhem he captured.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
