Ska is Back! Supervillains to Play Culture Room June 17

It's time to break out your black and white checkered Doc Martins and suspenders and brush up on your skanking skills. The Orlando based Supervillains are single handedly trying to revive the ska scene. The five piece band has been incessantly touring for the last 3 years, playing more than 400 shows in that time. With the jam and reggae scenes picking up so much steam, it only makes sense that ska could ride those coattails back to relevance again, and the Supervillains would make great poster children for the new wave. Light hearted songs about sex in cars, ex-girlfriends, and lots of pot aren't exactly in short supply, but you've got to give the kids what they want right? Check out the video after the jump to hear a Billy Joel cover, or just pick up your tickets and skank the night away at the Culture Room.
