If you’ve partied in Miami in the last decade, you’ve heard DJ-producer Danny Daze (AKA Daniel Gomez) throwing down at venues like Rokbar, LIV, and former downtown hangout White Room. And if you haven’t clubbed with Mr. Daze, then you will soon, because homeboy is about to blow up in a major way.
Danny has been active in the local scene since he started DJing raves at age 13. And as part of the Señor Stereo and DiscoTech production teams he’s been prolific in the studio for some time, releasing on renowned labels like Nervous and Kitsune.
But 2011 has been his most auspicious year so far, thanks to a sexed-up floor-smasher called “Your Everything” featuring Louisahhh!!! making it into the DJ bags of international stars like Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones. The track became one of the most buzzed-about breakout hits during WMC, Miami Music Week, and Detroit’s Movement Festival. And Jones wasted no time signing the record to his massively popular Hot Creations label, making Danny one of the biggest success stories of Miami’s local EDM scene.
“Your Everything” will be out on Hot Creations vinyl on June 20 and digital on July 4, and you can order the release in advance at Phonica Records.
