Satoshi Tomiie

Although he first landed on the scene in 1989 with his classic Frankie Knuckles collaboration "Tears," another decade would pass before Satoshi Tomiie implanted himself in the national dance-floor consciousness. His critically acclaimed 2000 debut, Full Lick, featured the hits "Love in Traffic" and "Up in Flames" and established Tomiie as one of the most popular names in the dance world. In 2001 Tomiie founded SAW Recordings and hired New York City DJ Hector Romero to run the show. SAW released the first production from Gabriel & Dresden and has since become one of the finer progressive house labels. In 2003 Tomiie and Romero teamed up for the label's first mix CD, Undulation 1, and launched a successful world tour. With the impending release of Tomiie's latest mix CD, 3D (Renaissance), Tomiie and Romero arrive in Miami to offer a little window into their world.
