With 2 days left in our spring campaign, we have a new $10,000 goal!
New Times members have already contributed more than $7,500 - can you help us hit our new goal and keep New Times free and in print every week? If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today.
It’s not every day you can listen to more than twenty live bands and DJs, watch visual artists at work, drink beer, and register to vote, all in the same place. This weekend, Rock vs. Art III, a two-day music, art, and political activism event, comes to Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti. Some of the folks who will be there, mixing it up in true multimedia style, include the Creepy T’s, the Remnants, A.C. Cobra, the Heatseekers, Charlie Pickett, and Two Story Doublewide; DJs Thrift and Scotty Upton; sculptor Jody Johnson; and painters Heather Blackmon and Carlos Rodriguez.
