You probably know Swedish pop songstress Robyn best by her debut dance hit "Show Me Love." She took over the dance airwaves with other songs like "Do You Know (What it Takes)" and "With Every Heartbeat," too.
Her songs have been so sugary in the past that they bordered on nauseating, like a sweet tooth rush to the head after an all-day candy binge on Halloween. But we prefer our dance pop that way: With a little bubble gum and cotton candy mixed in with lyrics like "but my heart said all of you will see/ just won't live for someone until he'll live for me" to show us just how sweet and innocent the world can really be.
Robyn's poised to redefine her music, though, trading up previous lyrics for ones like "Don't you know that love kills?
/ Protect yourself cuz you'll wreck yourself/ In this cold hard world, so check yourself."

We're not really sure what brought on this darker side, with more beat-heavy EDM-infused tracks in her latest albums Body Talk Pt. 1 (released in June) and Body Talk Pt. 2 (released just yesterday). The last in the trilogy, Body Talk Pt. 3, is slated for release in December, but if you want to catch the songstress in all her new pop-synth glory, she'll be playing the Fillmore on November 5.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. LiveNation.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, or at the box office.
