The Lumineers turned an almost seven-thousand-person crowd into an intimate living room sing-along during their stop on the Automatic World Tour. The Grammy-nominated Denver-based folk band — led by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites — proved once again why they’ve remained at the heart of the Americana revival for over two decades.
Opening the night, Chance Peña set the tone with his soulful folk set, his understated performance complementing the warm, nostalgic energy that followed. By 8:48 p.m., the lights dimmed and the Lumineers stepped onto the stage to roaring applause. Schultz reminded fans that he and Fraites have been playing together for 20 years — a testament to the band’s enduring chemistry since forming in 2005.

The set design mirrored that intimacy. A T-shaped stage jutted into the crowd, allowing the musicians to wander among fans, strumming and singing within arm’s reach. The effect was disarmingly personal: with the stage only slightly elevated, concertgoers found themselves eye-to-eye with the performers. The result felt less like a spectacle and more like a campfire gathering of thousands.

Their setlist balanced the band’s biggest hits and newer material from Automatic, their 2025 album. Early favorites like “Flowers in Your Hair” and “Angela” drew joyful sing-alongs, while Cleopatra and Brighside tracks added emotional depth. “Ho Hey” erupted into the night like a collective heartbeat, and “Ophelia” — a viral sensation once again thanks to TikTok — sparked another wave of nostalgia.

The band’s signature storytelling shone brightest during quieter numbers like “Charlie Boy,” performed alongside Peña, and the tender “Donna.” By the time they reached the encore, featuring a cover of Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” and fan-favorite “Stubborn Love,” the crowd swayed in unison.
