Thanks to a raging bitch named Irene, the Identity Festival's originally scheduled Miami stop got canceled
Or, as the official ID Fest statement said: "Due to the potential effects of Hurricane Irene, the Thursday, August 25 date of the Identity Festival presented by Skullcandy is being postponed. Details regarding a potential reschedule date will be released on Monday, August 29 at 2PM Pacific Standard Time."
We here at Crossfade were a little worried that "postponed" actually meant "never gonna happen." But as we reported yesterday, Identity organizers kept their word, announcing a new September 30 date for the Miami edition of ID. Tickets go on sale today via livenation.com.
Had the fest gone down last week, we would've raved and raged with Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Rusko, Steve Aoki, DJ Shadow, Hercules and Love Affair, Afrobeta, and 16 others. But there's still no word on the revised lineup for the MIA makeup date.

According to Live Nation: "Tickets for the original date will be honored at the door." Unless -- duh -- you redeemed your tix in Tampa, in which case those passes "are no longer valid for the new Miami show date on September 30th."
Otherwise, buy blindly. This party probably won't suck.
