Over the last few years, Fox's Sherron Inn has become a bastion for the neglected hipsterati and outside culturists who live way too far from the trendy downtown and South Beach strips.
Clad in his signature black slacks and black button-down, Randy Franco was a good friend and always-smiling fixture of the Fox's scene. Quick with witty anecdotes on cinema and music, you could always count on Randy for a good conversation.
Tragically, Randy passed away from injuries received during a vehicular accident this past weekend. His friends have been taking donations to help defray the large funeral costs his devastated parents face. And tomorrow night, the boys and gal of Bulletproof Tiger will spearhead a benefit show at Fox's. Joining them will be the Problem Attic, a band forged from members of Smitty and Dead Letter Post Office.
Randy Franco Benefit Show with Bulletproof Tiger, the Problem Attic, and more. Thursday, October 28. Fox's Lounge, 6030 S Dixie Hwy., South Miami. The benefit begins at 9 p.m. and there will be a $5 minimum donation. Call 305-666-2230.
