Oh, what have we done to deserve this?

In just two short months, iconoclastic synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys (otherwise known as Mr. Neil Tennant and Mr. Chris Lowe) will be unveiling their 12th studio album, Electric. And then they'll be venturing across our continent for the "Pet Shop Boys' 'Electric' tour of North America."

The best news: Mr. Tennant and Lowe are rumored to be planning a trip to Miami.

UPDATE Pet Shop Boys have confirmed a Fillmore Miami Beach show on September 12. Check the cut for the full 2013 North American tour dates.

This morning via petshopboys.co.uk, Tennant and Lowe updated fans about the new record. And they confirmed the 2013 North American tour too.

"The final mix of the new 'Electric' album is due to be completed at the end of this week and we will be announcing the full track-listing and the release date on this site next Tuesday, April 30th. We will also be previewing the cover artwork.

"On the same day we will also be announcing all the dates of Pet Shop Boys' 'Electric' tour of North America. Make sure you're here next week!"

At the moment, the Boys are prepping for a May trek through South and Central America with shows in Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, and Colombia. Then they'll be traveling to the Eastern hemisphere for 18 summer concerts in Russia, Europe, Israel, and Japan.

The North American leg won't begin till the second week of Septemeber. And so far, the only U.S. date that's leaked is a September 19 show in Bethesda, Maryland.

But we here at Crossfade have heard whispers received confirmation that Tennant and Lowe are bringing the Electric tour to our sunny subtropical shores.

Oh, what have we done to deserve this?
