Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.
We kept it low-key this weekend, saving up our energy for the chaos of what is to be Halloween this week. With it falling on a Saturday, you know South Florida is going to be one big celebration.
So in case you rested up as well, here is what you missed over the weekend:
Junior Boys at Vagabond
Canadian indie dance duo Junior Boys played to a packed Vagabond Saturday. When we say packed, we mean wall-to-wall. We've never seen the venue as crammed as it was this past Saturday. Click here to view the full slideshow.
Marc Anthony at American Airlines Arena
Mr. Jennifer Lopez performed at the American Airlines Arena on Saturday. The salsa crooner was joined by his wife on stage as well. Click here to read our review of the show.
Halloween Sundowner at Vizcaya
Kicking off the Halloween festivities early was the Halloween Sundowner at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami. Sure the proceeds went to a good cause, but we're sure the party-goers were too drunk to care either way. Click here to view the full slideshow.
Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
