Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.
All the best things in life are free. So wouldn't it be nice if there were a free New Year's Eve event to go to? Wait, there is! Thanks to Giant Step -- the same people who brought Kid Sister to the Delano for Art Basel -- Baltimore's Rye Rye will be performing live poolside at the Delano for free.
Rye Rye last Miami appearance in July was canceled after she came down with a case of the pregnancies. But she gave birth to a baby girl back in September, so she's ready to get back into the game and promote her upcoming debut to be released via M.I.A.'s imprint N.E.E.T. and Interscope.
To see the pint-size MC's comeback, all you have to do is RSVP to at giantstep.net/events/1212. You're welcome.
After the jump, the video for Rye Rye's single "Bang," which was filmed shortly before she announced she was preggers.
Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
