As a penniless musician with a fridge full of condiments, you're always on the lookout for your next sugar daddy (or mama), so why not hook up with New Times? We're clean, intelligent, and we always keep a little extra loot in our underwear for special occasions.

Here's the deal: For the second year in a row, we've set aside $4,500 in genius grants, which we'll be doling out to independent Miami artists. Now aren't we the pervy benefactor you always wanted?

See the cut for MasterMind 2011 application instructions.

There are $1,500 awards available in three categories:

1. Visual (Painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)

2. Narrative (Film, theater, poetry, and performance art)

3. Sound (Music and sound installations)

All applications should include the following five things:

-Your name

-Contact info (phone, email, and home address)

-Short bio

-Description of your work

-Your Artwork

The deadline is January 7. Send your application by email to [email protected] or standard mail:
